K-36 #487 in yard near the old car shop (out of sight to the left). 487 is not under steam. Silver truss bridge visible behind engine front is a two lane highway bridge to West Durango and eventually to Mancos. The parallel truss bridge visible over the flatcar is the old RGS bridge with D&RGW tracks on it to serve the large smelter (also out of sight to the left) across the Animas River.
