History

Former Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Co. flat car. Purchased by Carson & Colorado in October 1880 for $450.
Resold to C&TL&F in 1888 for $350.
Reacquired by C&C in 1896 as Ice Flanger 108.
Sold to Southern Pacific Company in 1900.
Renumbered SP MW 108 in Jan 1908.
Retired August 1953, broken up October 5, 1957.

Specifications

Built by Detroit Car Works between 1875 - 1877. Original C&TL&F car number is unknown.

22ft long over the end sills, XXft wide.

Wooden frame. Six longitudinal sills with tapered ends on side sills.

Two iron bolsters on 16ft wheelbase.

Bliss Pattern Trucks with 24in Wheels.

Flanger hardware added around 1896 when car reacquired by C&C. It is unknown if the conversion to flanger included the wooden body over the mechanism or if that was added by SP at a later date.
