Locomotives

1867

Locomotive number 73 "Kennesaw" ordered from Baldwin painted bronze green striped with vermilion. Wheels are black with gold striping. Lettering is gold leaf. Striping was in the "Best fancy passenger finish."

1888

Locomotives are painted Brunswick Green with lettering and ornamentation in gold and carmine.

"A description of the Gov. Jos. E. Brown will describe all of them...the locomotive is painted Brunswick green - looking almost black as it stands in the paint shop. The lettering and ornamentation are in gold and carmine."

Freight Cars

1852

Boxcars and platform cars built in the Georgia Penitentiary are painted a “yellow color.”
