The locomotive was sent to Sparks, Nevada for rebuilding into a 4-6-0 on November, 30 1921. As a result of the rebuild, the boiler was increased in length by 38 inches and it gained 12 tons in weight.
After rebuild:
Drivers: 45in.
Weight on Drivers: 57,000 lbs.
Total Locomotive Weight: 73,700 lbs.
Boiler Pressure: 140 PSI.
Tractive Effort: 10010 lbs.
The locomotive remained in service until it was vacated from the roster in Mina, NV. on July 30, 1932. It was shipped to Sacramento, CA. and scrapped on June 21, 1934.
