===Freight Equipment===

On the [[Pacific Coast Railway]] tanks operated by the Union Oil Company were painted black with silver ends initially. Repainted to solid black by the 1930s.

On the [[Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad]]: Tanks were owned independently from the cars they rode on. As a result the tanks carry different numbers than the car. Surviving tank car #187 at the NCNG Railroad Museum in Nevada City is UOCo #917 riding on NCNG flat #187.
