Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1876 for the Missouri Central but not delivered. Intended for the Santa Clara Valley Railroad but not paid for upon delivery. Purchased by the South Pacific Coast Railroad. The locomotive was delivered February 1876.

Loaned to the Oakland Railroad June 1886 for service along Telegraph Avenue north of 36th Street. Removed from the Oakland Railroad December 1889. Westinghouse Air Brakes added October 1890. Disposition Unknown.
